Florence Crittenton 

 Men, fathers especially, are under attack in our culture. The level to which the ideologies that wage this war have become embedded within many seemingly benign organizations, should concern you. 

I make these claims not from a particularly subjective or belief centered vantage, or exclusively from anecdotes collected from my "lived experience.” The basis for my assertions come from documented facts and evidence, which I will present in this open letter/video.

Florence Crittenton is a well loved and highly respected institution— a beacon of hope in our community.

For this reason, I understand that bringing to light any deceit or hidden agendas underneath this organization's flowery mission statements, will bring some level of scrutiny and immediate disbelief for many, and will possibly create the conditions for full-on cognitive dissonance for others. 

I challenge you to push past some of those initial, innate responses, and take an honest, objective look at the evidence that I'm presenting here, which I have gone to great lengths to compile and present. 

The war that has been waged on me, as a man, as a father, as egregious and undue as it has been, and that has affected and altered my relationships with my children, is not an isolated tale.  

There is a sickness--a cultural, and ultimately spiritual malady at work, that seeks to destroy men and families while often times presenting inverse intentions, and that has insidiously crept into institutions across the Western world.  

Despite the scores of men and fathers forced into battle with these institutions and the dark but well masked ideologies that they operate under, there is, under the code of modernity, under the spell of the cultural orthodoxy, a concerted and persistent effort to keep some rather large and otherwise salient truths from seeing the light of day. 

This is to say, my story is not all that unique.

This is exactly the source of my conviction in telling it. 

This is an open letter  in video form, about my experiences with Florence Crittenton. It's intended for the local audience, my community.  However, for the reasons that I've touched on, what I'm sharing here, may have a reach that extends beyond any particular principality.

Whoever you are, wherever you are--may you have eyes to see, and ears to hear.
